Waterboarding

In light of this BS with Sean Hannity, I have one question: If torture isn't painful (meaning it's something that one would do to another of one's fraternity -- I didn't call it a "frat" because, no I don't call my country a ...) then why do it?

My Mission Statement

Some people think that there is nothing to be learned from popular culture. I disagree. Every television show, motion picture or song lyric not only reflects the ideas and views of the dominant culture, but also reflects the philosophic ideals that are the foundations of our culture. Everything we see, hear, say and do is rooted in the ideas that came before -- and those ideas are often reflected in the popular culture. So this is my attempt to find the ideas in the things we see, hear, and say, and I hope, at the very least, to persuade others that all this pop culture isn't useless.
